Orbi Blue Light is Not Turning OFF! Learn How to Fix it!

Here are some proven methods that may help you get rid of blue light on Netgear Orbi. You just need to be patient and follow all the methods to know which method resolves the issue for you.

Examine the cable connection

A damaged, loose, or fault connection could result in a number of issues including the blue light being stuck on the orbi device. Fortunately, it is not very difficult to fix this issue. Carefully examine the cable connection of your orbi device. Make sure that the devices are properly inserted and cable is properly inserted into the devices. If any of the cable is faulty, replace it with the new one.

Power Cycle your Orbi Network

If you are seeing the blue light on your orbi device you can restart your entire orbi network to fix the issue. In simple words, you need to restart your orbi router, satellite, and modem. Use the following steps:

• Disconnect your modem from the power supply.
• Turn off your orbi router and unplug it from the power source.
• Disconnect the orbi satellite from the power source as well.
• Now wait for at least 5 minutes.
• Connect your modem back to the power and wait for it to boot up.
• After two minutes, plug your orbi router to the power
• Turn ON and connect the orbi satellite as well.
• Wait for the devices to boot up.

The blue light on your orbi device will now fade away. However, if you are still seeing the blue light, move to the next step.

Check and Update the Orbi firmware

You might be able to resolve the orbi flashing blue light after updating its firmware. Updating the orbi firmware isn’t difficult. Follow the below-given steps to update orbi router firmware-

• Use orbilogin.net to open the orbi setup page.
• Click on the ‘Advanced’ tab on the main menu and then click on the ‘Admin’ sub-tab.
• Select ‘Firmware Update’ option.
• Click on the ‘Check’ button to see if there’s a new firmware version available.
• Click on the ‘Update’ option to update the orbi satellite’s firmware.
• Wait for the firmware to get updated and allow the orbi devices to reboot.

Reset Your Orbi device

If you are still seeing the blue light on your orbi device then you might need to consider resetting your orbi to its default settings. Follow the below-given instructions to reset your orbi satellite back to its factory default settings-

• Release the button and wait for the orbi device to reboot.
